The traditional brewery becomes a restaurant
“Due to increasing tourist traffic the guest requirements rose“ so the owner argued. This is why he wanted to serve cold and warm dishes as well as nationwide sorts of beer. Furthermore the people from Königstein tended to drink quite a few shots of Schnapps – this is why Jean also requested the permission to serve spirits and other alcoholic beverages. And finally persistency won and he was awarded with the long awaited license.
From 1912 on the „Haberer“, how the familiy is called by the public, was an actual restaurant.
His grandson Jean Pirner (3rd generation) adjusted the restaurant to the gastronomical requirements in 1966. In the year 1976 the close by neighboring house was aquired to make room for guests. This house had an even longer tradition as a restaurant!
